INTERMEDIATE 1 AND 2 TUMBLING
INTERMEDIATE 1 – Ages 5+
Athletes must have a strong round-off and back walkover to enroll in this class. Intermediate 1 is designed to transition athletes from foundational skills to more powerful tumbling. In this class, athletes will begin working on:
Standing back handsprings
Round-off back handsprings,

Back walkover
Coaches will focus on developing strength, speed, and technique to ensure safe and successful execution of these skills. Drills and progressions are tailored to meet each athlete’s individual needs and pace. After eight weeks, athletes will receive an Evaluation Report that provides feedback on their performance and determines if they’re ready for the next level. This class is a critical stage in mastering back handsprings and building confidence in more advanced tumbling.
INTERMEDIATE 2 – Ages 5+
Athletes must have a standing back handspring and a round-off back handspring without a spot to enroll in this class. Intermediate 2 focuses on refining single back handsprings and building toward more advanced tumbling passes. In this class, athletes will work on:
Connecting multiple back handsprings
Round-off back handspring series,
Improving overall technique, power, and control
Coaches will use targeted drills and spotting as needed to ensure safe progression. Strength, timing, and confidence are emphasized as athletes prepare for advanced-level skills. At the end of the eight-week session, each athlete will receive an Evaluation Report highlighting progress and readiness for advancement. This class sets the foundation for more complex tumbling such as tucks and layouts.
